So I did what I was supposed to do: I graduated from Marquette University, got married, got a job as a drug rep, then became a stay-at-home mom of four. We lived a comfortable life, that is until my husband lost his job... welfare, judgments, tax liens, repossession, foreclosure, bankruptcy and divorce followed. I thought I'd lost it all.

But I still had my strong work ethic and my mind. I thought more education was the answer. So I went back to school for 2 Master's degrees, then got 2 jobs. Soon I upgraded to one high-paying job as a financial advisor. It was there that I realized the middle class life is playing checkers; while the wealthy, financially free life required me to win at chess.
